They are used to playing vampire brother and sister in “The Twilight Saga,” but now Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are taking on two totally different roles together.

In the upcoming movie, “Warrior,” Mr Lutz is set to play a lacrosse player whose life spirals out of control after his father dies while Ms Greene will star as his love interest named Brooklyn.

Of working with Ashley in the new film, Kellan told MTV News, “Ashley’s friggin’ talented. It’s really cool to see your friend [in a different way] and to work with a friend, let alone her being so talented, to see her transform from one character to another.”

He added, “Alice is a fun little pixie character, and then Brooklyn, you know, is a sweet, lacrosse-player type of coach’s daughter. It’s fun working with her and seeing her transform herself.”

“Warrior” will be released sometime in 2011.

In her now-immortal novel Twilight, Stephenie Meyer describes Alice Cullen, sister of tween dream Edward, as a “devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful” pixie vampire with “obsidian eyes” and an “exquisite, elfin face.” Most actors would rather not admit that casting decisions were based on anything other than their craft, but 23-year-old Ashley Greene—who brought Alice to life in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and this summer’s Eclipse and is signed on for next year’s Breaking Dawn—has no such illusions. “Yes, I’m very thankful that Stephenie Meyer wrote a character that I happen to look like,” says Greene with a laugh. Given the series’ rabid “Twihard” fan base—legions of whom were locked in long before the film’s first scene was shot—if Greene hadn’t been an eerily perfect fit for Alice, the filmmakers would have heard about it. “The fans were already there,” Greene says. “Before they knew Ashley Greene, they knew Alice Cullen, and they all had an idea of how she looked.”

The Jacksonville, Florida, native was still hostessing at the Belmont, a bar and restaurant in Los Angeles, when she got the call about Twilight auditions in 2007. Since then, she says, “I’ve gone from zero to 60.” For Greene, like costars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick, the vampire phenom has been “more than a big break,” she says. “Every one of us is working like a maniac!”

Though she may be a newbie, Greene is navigating her exploding career with beyond-her-years maturity. “As much as I adore being part of Twilight, I don’t want it to define me,” she says. That means launching a cross-genre attack on the industry, starting with next year’s psychological thriller The Apparition, in which she stars opposite Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl’s crafty Carter Baizen) as one half of a college couple terrorized by a “presence” conjured in a university experiment. Greene is also testing her comedic powers, joining Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman, and Jennifer Garner in the ensemble comedy Butter, which is based on a real-life Midwestern pastime: butter carving. “My character’s father [Ty Burrell] is, like, the Elvis of butter carving in this small town—he is the god,” Greene says.

Sex symbol is yet another role Greene has been exploring of late, causing red-carpet ripples in sleek, body-conscious dresses by Dolce & Gabbana, L’Wren Scott, and Antonio Berardi. “There’s something about being a woman, being appealing, and being sexy and feeling good about yourself,” Greene says. With fictionworthy looks and a career in warp speed, she should know.

Summit Entertainment’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be filmed in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Vancouver over the next year starting this fall. The next chapter of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011.

Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

“For choosing to partner with cruelty-free cosmetics company Avon, Ashley Greene has earned a Kind Choices Award from PETA. Greene will receive a framed certificate and a card signed by PETA staffers.

Greene isn’t the only Twilight star to stick up for animals. Kellan Lutz and Christian Serratos have both teamed up with PETA to fight animal abuse.

Greene is the new face of mark, Avon’s youth-oriented brand. Avon was the first major cosmetics company to adopt a cruelty-free policy—the company ended all animal testing of its products and ingredients in 1989, years before many Twilight fans were born. Over the years, Avon has received PETA awards for its cutting-edge, cruelty-free policies governing not only its cosmetics but also the Avon Foundation’s work against breast cancer.

“Ashley and Avon are to be congratulated for encouraging millions of Twilight fans and other young people to choose makeup that’s fun, not fatal,” says PETA Vice President of Laboratory Investigations Kathy Guillermo. “Thanks to cruelty-free companies such as Avon, you can get a to-die-for look that no animals had to die for.”

The easiest questions oftentimes get the best responses, and that’s what happened when MTV News’ Josh Horowitz asked Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone what their favorite “Twilight” paraphernalia is.

“I have Jackson’s pillow,” Ashley said, before quickly adding, “Just kidding!” but things quickly spiraled downward after Kellan sadly admitted that Emmett doesn’t have an action figure.

“He should, he’s the biggest coolest character!” Ashley said to Kellan to cheer him up, but then she quickly said, “Aww, damn” as Jackson’s face fell. “Yeah, gave him coolest, that’s fine,” Jackson said with faux sadness. “Umm, what do you want me to call… You’re the sexiest,” Ashley remedied.

Instead of responding to the developing light-hearted feud developing, Kellan chose to actually answer the question Josh posed for them… sort of.

“Fans create quite unique merchandise,” Kellan said. “We do these fun conventions, and we get to meet these fans, and they always have like cool new stuff to sign or to show you, but then they also make stuff. I’ve been very blessed to have very sweet fans make dolls or draw and paint, and I draw a lot, so I know how much time goes into those, and they do an amazing job. It’s really cool, and it’s really humbling that someone would take that much time out to do that.”

He then did answer the original question, adding, “As far as merchandise, I guess… onesies. I saw a onesie thing, and then there are some female products with Rob’s face on it.”

“Hah!” Jackson exclaimed loudly. “Wow.”

“Awkward,” was Ashley’s only response.

“I was like, yes! That’s a winner,” Kellan finished.

Speaking at the Twilight Saga: Eclipse UK premiere press conference today Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz confessed to being serious Twihards themselves.

Ashley said: “I don’t think anyone could have predicted the Twilight phenomenon. Each time we’ve been surprised by the passion. I can understand why it had because the books are so incredible and it takes you into this other world.

Kellan added: “You tend to fall in love with your characters. Eclipse was my favourite book. I love Emmett Cullen and it’s going to be sad when you close a chapter to this book. It’s been a huge part of our lives, we’re a family unit on and off set. It’s been a blessing to be part of this franchise.

And the hunky star admits he’ll hasn’t seen the film before tonight. He said: “I’ve been really impressed by all the action and I can’t wait to see it for the first time tonight.”

Har Ashley en kommande film på G?
Svar; Jupp, Ashley har ett flertal filmer på G faktiskt! Förutom The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn som börjar spelas in nu i november, så har Ashley nästan precis gjort klart inspelningarna för en annan film, Butter. Det är en komdifilm som kommer ut någongång under 2011. Dessutom har skräckfilmen The Apparition också premiär nästa år!

Hur går det egentligen med Kellan och Ashleys film "Warrior", den är ju bara ett måste att se när den kommer men har man hört något om när den egentligen gör det?

Svar; Jag är lika ivrig att veta mer om den som du är, och fick faktiskt nästan precis svar på frågan när den kommer ut. Den kommer ut 2011, vilket datum vet jag inte och jag tror inte heller den kommer gå på bio här i sverige. Men vi måste tyvärr vänta tills nästa år för att se den!

Undrar över "Summers Blood", har den haft premiär?

Svar; "Summers Blood" har inte haft en 'premiär' precis, den kom direkt ut på DVD. Den finns i USA, men själv har jag faktiskt inte hittat den här i sverige. Men du kan se den på internet, via den här länken! :)

Bara nyfiken ^^ Har du någon aning om varför hon är singel!? hon är ju way too(!) underbar för att inte få den hon vill ha! Jag lixom fattar bara inte lilla söta Ashley...
Svar; Haha, ja man kan ju undra det! Nej men själv har Ashley sakt att hon inte har tid med en pojkvän just nu eftersom hon har ett väldigt upptaget schema. Men nu i helgen sågs hon ju kyssa en okänd kille, så vem vet om hon faktiskt är singel fortfarande? ;)

Har du nånsin skickat ett fanmail/brev till henne och i såna fall då fått svar?

Svar; Nej det har jag faktiskt inte. Jag har tänkt på att göra det många gånger, men har aldrig gjort det.

Vet du hur Ashley fick rollen som Alice?

Svar; Ashley provspelade först för rollen som Bella Swan men fick inte rollen. Nån vecka senare fick hon ett samtal där dem ville att hon skulle provspela för rollen som Alice Cullen istället. Författaren av Twilight, Stepheníe Meyer sa att Ashley var den som liknade sin karaktär mest. När hon såg en bild av Ashley sa hon; 'You found Alice! Oh my gosh!'" Den 19 februari 2008 var det officiellt att Ashley skulle spela Alice Cullen!

Svar; Ja, jag har sett 'Summers Blood' och om jag ska vara ärlig så tyckte jag inte så värst mycket om den. Ashley är bra i den men handlingen är inte bra, hehe. Har försökt att se bl.a. "Skateland" men har inte hittat den på internet än!

Vilken ögonfärg har Ashley?
Svar; Alltså, jag har sett att hon har olika ögonfärg på de bilder jag försökt se, ibland har hon bruna, blåa eller gröna! Men jag tror faktiskt att hennes riktiga ögonfärg är grå-grön!
